316L Stainless Steel Pool Light

XPROPOOL PRO LINE models use 316L stainless steel where specified on the individual product page. This material is selected for its corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and premium finish in demanding pool environments.

Important

Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, not corrosion-proof. Correct installation, bonding, water chemistry, chlorine concentration, salt concentration and maintenance are essential.

Why Lumens Matter More Than Wattage

Watt

The electrical power consumed by the lamp.

Lumen

The measured quantity of visible light emitted by the lamp.

A higher-wattage lamp is not automatically more efficient. Compare lights using both wattage and verified lumen output.

Understanding White, RGB and RGBW Light Output

White Light

A dedicated white LED configuration is designed to deliver efficient white illumination. Available colour temperatures depend on the selected model.

RGB

RGB creates colours by combining red, green and blue channels. Its measured white appearance and lumen output differ from a dedicated white-light version.

RGBW

RGBW adds a separate white channel. This can provide improved white-light reproduction while maintaining colour functionality. Availability depends on the selected model and cable configuration.

Note

Do not compare RGB lumen output directly with dedicated white-light output without considering the intended application. Do not claim that RGBW is available for every model.

Light Distribution Under Water

Underwater lighting behaves differently from lighting in air. Performance depends on multiple installation and environmental factors.

Warning

A pool light designed for underwater operation must not be operated outside the water for an extended period unless the product instructions explicitly allow it.

IP68 Construction for Permanent Immersion

IP68 indicates protection against dust and water immersion under the conditions defined for the specific product.

Critical Point

The weakest point in an underwater installation is often not the lamp housing, but an incorrectly made cable connection.

IP68 Clarification

IP68 does not make incorrect connections or damaged cables waterproof. IP68 does not mean waterproof forever or suitable at unlimited depth.

Factory-Fitted Cable Configurations

The lamp and cable configuration must be selected before production. Available system types depend on the individual lamp model.

2-Wire System

Colour control through a compatible control system. Commonly selected for replacement projects with reduced existing conductors.

4-Wire RGB

Separate common connection and RGB colour channels. Suitable for compatible RGB controllers. Often used in new installations.

5-Wire RGBW

Separate RGB channels plus dedicated white channel. Requires a compatible RGBW controller. Suitable for projects requiring colour and separate white light.

Factory Configuration Rules

Maximum factory cable length: 5 metres. Configuration must be confirmed before ordering. Not every lamp is available in every cable system.

Compatibility Warning

Never connect a lamp to a controller solely because the connector physically fits. Voltage, wiring system, polarity, load and controller protocol must all be verified.
